中国，汉族，出生于江苏无锡市，中国艺术研究院专职油画家，国家一级美术师，硕士研究生导师。1992年南京艺术学院美术系油画专业本科毕业，1994年获日本文部省奖学金赴日留学，先後在上越教育大学、筑波大学、东京艺术大学等日本三所国立大学学习及从事研究，获艺术学硕士和教育学硕士学位。2006年回国定居於北京。2009年於中国艺术研究院研究生院获油画创作与理论专业博士学位。留院工作至今。先後在国内外举办个人画展二十六次。作品被国内外美术馆、艺术机构及私人广泛收藏。

Xu Chenyang was born in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, and is a full-time oil painter at the graduate school of China Arts Research Academy. In 1992, Xu graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Art College with a bachelor degree in oil painting. In 1994, he was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Education of Japan. During the time in Japan, Xu studied and did research at the Joetsu University of Education, obtained a master degree in art and master of education at the University of Tsukuba and Tokyo University of the Arts respectively. In 2006, he returned to China and settled in Beijing. In 2009, he obtained a doctorate degree in oil painting and theory from the Graduate School of the Chinese National of Art. Xu has held 24 solo exhibitions in various galleries in Japan and China since 1990. His art works have been collected by a number of art galleries and art institutions.
